The Community Foundation of Greene County announces a new grant is available only for Central Greene School District teachers.
The TEACH Grant Award is open to any CGSD teacher Pre-K through Grade 12, including specialty teachers and guidance counselors. The award will be $1,000 for one teacher.
The TEACH Grant Award Grant must enhance and facilitate student learning in the classroom through innovative ideas, programs or projects. Creative and innovative projects can be focused in any subject area and must be curriculum-based. The grant award may be used for activities such as, transportation, field trips, speaker fees, books, videos, kits, and classroom equipment, so long as they are integral to the curriculum. The grant award may not be used to supplant funds that are or would otherwise be funded through the school budget, or other grants and means, or for projects started prior to the grant award.
Because the grant applications are due in the spring, the grant awards must be for projects beginning in the next school year.
Teachers may collaborate on a project to benefit multiple classrooms or grade level(s), or apply for a specific classroom. If the project is collaborative, only only one teacher may be the applicant and recognized for the award. The grant will be paid to the school for the project costs.
Teachers may apply by April 7th through the CFGC Online Grant portal on our website at http://www.cfgcpa.org/grants-for-public-schools/
The grant award will be announced at the end of the current school year and The grant will be used for the next school year.
