3) Field of Interest Grants (Arts & Culture Fund; Children, Youth & Families Fund; Community & Economic Development Fund; Futures Fund; Health & Human Services Fund) - Due June 15
4) Good For Greene Fund Grant - Due June 15
5) Discretionary Grants (Includes the Bob Bradford Fund and the Forever Greene Fund) - Due June 15 and Sept 30

1) 10th Anniversary Grant - Special 2011 Grant Round - Due April 20, 2011
The Community Foundation of Greene County (CFGC) is celebrating its 10 th Anniversary with a special grant round and award of one (1) ten thousand dollar ($10,000) grant in 2011.
In order that its grant making may be as fair and significant to the community as possible, the Board of Directors of The Community Foundation of Greene County is guided by the considerations outlined herein. Please note applications should be prepared and RECEIVED in the CFGC office no later than 4:00 PM on the deadline date for this special 10th Anniversary grant round: Special 10 th Anniversary Grant Due Date is April 20, 2011.
Eligible applicants must be nonprofit, charitable tax-exempt organizations recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. This includes educational, government and church/church-related organizations.
Geographic preferenceis given to nonprofit organizations within Greene County, or those that provide programs and services to the residents of Greene County. The CFGC is a community foundation that exists principally for the enhancement of services and programs to the residents and geographic area within the boundaries of Greene County.
The CFGC 10 th Anniversary Grant priorities include: Newer and innovative programs, emerging charitable opportunities and/or services not presently offered and for the purpose of enhancing the quality of life in our community. Preference will be given to projects that have the potential of positively affecting broad segments of Greene County’s population.
The Foundation will consider the overall (potential) outcome of a grant at least as much as it will consider the stated need .
Programs and projects representing significant duplication of initiatives already undertaken by other non-profit agencies will not be funded.
The grant must be issued to the final recipient nonprofit organization that will actually administer the program or perform the service.
In addition, proposals will be judged on the basis of such things as:
- the intrinsic merit of the project proposed for meeting priority community needs;
- the ability and past reputation of the agency’s staff for successful completion of projects;
- the clarity and measurability of the project’s goals including Project Budget;
- plans to fund and sustain the project beyond the grant period;
- the feasibility of the time frame given for completion of the project;
- whether the costs are commensurate with benefits;
- whether CFGC grant dollars will significantly impact the overall program or service.

2) Kathleen A. Hamilton Davis and William R. Davis Memorial Fund Grant
(Considered under Grant Round 1)
The purpose of this fund is to provide support and assistance for the benefit of children and families in Greene County who are experiencing social or economic hardship. Grants may be used to support new or existing projects through nonprofit 501[c][3] organizations.
Grant applications for the Davis Memorial Fund must be received no later than June 15.

3) Field of Interest Grants
(Considered under Grant Round 1)
Grants will be available in the following areas:
Arts & Culture Fund for new or existing projects that support or promote the arts in Greene County. Click here to download the grant guidelines and application procedure.
Children, Youth & Families Fund for new or existing projects that support services for children, youth and/or family well-being in Greene County. Click here to download grant guidelines.
Community & Economic Development Fund for new or existing projects that impact community and economic development in Greene County. Click here to download grant guidelines and application procedure.
Futures Fund for new, innovative community projects that advance the economic or social well-being of Greene County. Click here to download grant guidelines and application procedure.

Do not specify a Fund when you apply as many projects may be eligible under multiple categories.
Grant range is $250 to $1,000. Average grant size is $500.
Grant applications for the Field of Interest Grants must be received no later than June 15.

4) Good For Greene Fund grants (Considered under Grant Round 1)
Proposals for grants will be accepted in the following priorities (These are guidelines - Do not specify a priority):
1. Arts, Culture & Humanities – projects that encourage and demonstrate artistic creativity and appreciation and enjoyment of the arts and culture, including visual and performing arts, museums, arts education, and public media.
2. Education – projects to enhance the education experience for persons of any age; that encourage literacy; and promote lifelong learning skills.
3. Environment & Animal Welfare – projects to enhance the quality of life, to ensure biodiversity, to mitigate or investigate the impacts of pollution on the local region. Includes conservation, resource protection, energy/renewal resources, agricultural projects and animal welfare.
4. Health & Fitness –projects that define and address issues of local health concerns. Includes community health, disability services, aging issues, family planning/teen pregnancy, health education/preventative care, mental health, mental retardation, substance abuse, women's health, etc.
5. Human Needs – projects whose objects or purposes are to give aid, comfort, support or assistance to children, aged persons or indigent adults, or urban affairs.
6. Public and Societal Benefit – projects that promote community and economic development and/or community involvement. Includes community development, community involvement, capacity building, conomic development, public safety, recreation, tourism, transportation, workforce development, etc.
7. Religious / Faith Based – projects that promote interdenominational sharing and understanding and that emphasize the importance of spiritual growth and development.
Grant applications for the Good For Greene Fund grants must be received no later than June 15.

5) Discretionary Grants (includes Forever Greene Fund and Francis Bradford Fund) Considered under Grant Round 1 and Round 2
Proposals for grants will be accepted in the following priorities (These are guidelines. Do not specify a priority):

Grant awards may range from $1,000 to $5,000.
Grant applications for Discretionary grants must be received no later than June 15 (round 1) or September 30 (round 2).
