The Community Foundation of Greene County (CFGC), in partnership with the Greene County Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Grantmakers of Western Pennsylvania (GWPA) will sponsor a Meet the Grantmakers forum and Grant Proposal Basics seminar on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the EQT REC Center, 400 EverGreene Drive, Waynesburg.
The Grant Proposal Basics seminar, which will be held from 1:00 – 2:30 PM, will cover topics including, how to prepare a grant letter or proposal using various types of grant application forms, and how to communicate with potential funders.
The Meet the Grantmakers will be held from 3:00 – 4:30 PM with a short reception following the presentations and question and answer sessions. The session will feature representatives from local and regional foundations and corporate grantmaking programs that support programs in Greene County including Jim Denova of the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation, Ellen Rossi of the EQT Foundation and Joni Schwager of the Staunton Farm Foundation, along with Bettie Stammerjohn of the Community Foundation of Greene County and Dave Jones of the Greene County Memorial Hospital Foundation who will share information about their grantmaking programs.
The Grant Proposal Basics seminar and Meet the Grantmakers forum are open to all individuals who are representing nonprofit organizations of all types and sizes, and other members of the community who work with, or are interested in learning about grants to benefit Greene County nonprofit programs and activities.
