Endowed Scholarships
The Community Foundation of Greene County provides a number of post-secondary scholarships for deserving students to participate in education opportunities beyond high school. These scholarships have been established as permanently endowed funds by members of the Greene County community to benefit succeeding generations of residents - their way of giving back to the community. A list of the available scholarships
Students applying for the William H. Davis, Jr. Scholarship, the Dove Award, or the Renaldo A. Matteucci Family Scholarship should also complete and submit the Community Foundation of Greene County Common Scholarship Application Form (see below) along with the particular scholarship application materials for which they would like to be considered.

The Dove Award
The Dove Award was established by an anonymous donor to provide scholarships for a female student from Jefferson Morgan high school.

The Renardo A. Matteucci Family Scholarship was established by Mrs. Janet Matteucci to provide an annual need based scholarship to the Jefferson-Morgan High School.

The William H. Davis, Jr. Scholarship Fund
Established by the Reverend William Davis and Dr. Nancy Davis in memory of their son, William H. Davis, Jr. The scholarship benefits students from Southeastern Greene School District attending the Westmoreland County Community College.

The Walter Samek III Memorial Fund
The purpose of the scholarship is to assist graduating senior class members of Carmichaels High School to continue post-secondary education.

The Thelma S. Hoge Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established by bequest by Mrs. Hoge to the West Greene School District. The Thelma S. Hoge Memorial Scholarship benefits worthy students of West Greene School District who are pursuing a college education.

The Rocky Doman Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established by Family and Friends of Rocky Doman and proceeds from the Rocky Doman Memorial Golf Outing. The Rocky Doman Memorial Scholarship benefits Greene County students who demonstrate qualities of a team player and humble spirit in sports.

The Army Specialist Gregory A. Cox Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established by Family and Friends of Gregory A. Cox and a portion of proceeds from the annual Heros Run/Walk sponsored by the Greene County Parks and Recreation Department. The Army Specialist Gregory A. Cox Memorial Scholarship benefits Greene County students planning to attend a two- or four-year postsecondary institution and participating in ROTC OR majoring in field of study leading to a career in public safety (such as police, fire, emergency medical personnel, etc.) and/or public service (such as education, health related, emergency management, etc.).
Army Specialist Gregory A. Cox Memorial Scholarship Guidelines
The William and Shirley Hanley Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established in memory of William and Shirley Hanley of Nemacolin, PA to provide two scholarships - one each to a senior graduating from Carmichaels Area High School, and a senior graduating from Mapletown High School. The scholarship will be used first for books and supplies and then for student loans. Students must be planning to attend a four-year college or university. Preference will be given to students with a financial need. An interview with the scholarship committee is required.

The Darlene Phillips Elementary Education Scholarship Fund
Established in memory of Darlene Phillips, an elementary teacher and librarian at Bobtown Elementary School to provide a scholarship for students graduating from Mapletown High School who plan to pursue a Bachelor's degree in elementary education.
